Our Global Partnerships

Beyond Inclusion Tanzania is a partner of Liliane Foundation and MIVA, joining a global community of more than 400 organisations working across over 20 countries to advance the rights and opportunities of children and young people with disabilities.

Partnership and Exchange

Through the Liliane Foundation & MIVA Partner Community, BIT exchanges knowledge, practical experience and promising approaches with disability-inclusion organisations from Africa, Asia and other regions. This collaboration enables BIT to contribute Tanzanian experience to international discussions while bringing global learning into its programmes, partnerships and advocacy.

Learning and Knowledge Exchange

BIT participates in learning and knowledge exchange on areas including:

Community-Based Rehabilitation and Community-Based Inclusive Development
Inclusive education and disability-responsive education financing
Early identification and support for young children with disabilities
Playful learning in early childhood education
Disability inclusion in humanitarian action
Livelihoods and economic empowerment for young people with disabilities
Organisational strengthening and inclusive programme development

From Local Experience to Global Learning

A two-way exchange

BIT contributes practical lessons from its work with children and young people with disabilities, families, organisations of persons with disabilities, communities and government institutions in Tanzania.

In return, the global partner community provides opportunities to learn from other countries, participate in research and surveys, join international webinars, access technical resources and develop collaborative learning and innovation initiatives.

This two-way exchange helps BIT strengthen the quality of its programmes and ensures that locally generated experience contributes to wider efforts to advance disability inclusion.

Continental Collaboration

BIT Contributes to Africa’s CBR/CBID Centre of Excellence

BIT contributed Tanzanian experience to the regional consultation and co-creation process for a CBR/CBID Centre of Excellence for Africa, including perspectives on community delivery, OPD engagement, government collaboration, systems strengthening and sustainability.

Advancing Early Support

Stronger support in the early years

BIT is also connected to emerging international learning on early support for young children with disabilities. Liliane Foundation is working with partners in Tanzania, Cameroon, Bangladesh, Burundi and Togo to develop practical learning and innovation initiatives.

This work reflects a shared commitment to identifying children with disabilities early, supporting their families and strengthening inclusive services during the critical early years of childhood.
